No, Dental bookings does not take any payments from patients. The dentist is paid directly for any treatment that is performed.

What happens if a patient fails to attend or is late and misses the appointment?
The aim of this service is to connect people. We encourage practices to call patients to establish contact with them and discuss why they are attending. We also suggest letting the patient know about the practice cancellation policy. It is the same procedure for any new patient. There is always the chance that a patient will not attend. However, Dental Bookings gives the practice all the personal details such as name, mobile, email, DOB and address. You would then treat them the same as any other patient that did not attend, according to your practice's policy.

How do I prevent double bookings?
To prevent double bookings, make sure that you update both your times available on Dental Bookings and those on your practice management software. For example if an appointment is booked by a patient, at the practice or over the phone, immediately remove that time from the site by clicking on the time and selecting 'Remove'.

Are dentists allowed to advertise free consultations?
Yes, Dentists can write that information in their Practice Biography or Practitioner Biography sections.

How can patients find out what the anticipated treatment fee will be?
We suggest that they contact the practice to ask what the costs are likely to be if concerned about it.

Can patients search by doctor's name?
Yes, the search bar allows for 'Name' searches and will take the enquiry directly to the appropriate profile and available times.

How will the "Google Ad words" work on Dental Bookings?
We intend to use Google Ad words to support our practitioners from time to time. We will be using specific locations and procedure keywords to optimise ranking on search engine websites.

Are there any limitations or restrictions on what dentists can say or the way they can promote their practice on their info page?
We advise practitioners to adhere to the AHPRA Policy for advertising.

Will you have a doctors only section on your website?

We will provide booking information monthly to each registered practice.

Will Dental Bookings be collecting any personal data from patients at the time of booking, for example the age, sex, and suburb?
